"The Vyper has been an iconic symbol of the Aeldari for ages, gracing artwork and embodying the faction's elegance and style," Joel enthused. "It's a vehicle that's as much a part of the Aeldari aesthetic as their streamlined jetbikes.
"For many Aeldari players, the Vyper holds a special place in their hearts, having been a staple of the collection since 1997. It's a testament to its enduring appeal that it's older than a lot of current fans! But after decades of service, it's time for a well-deserved refresh.
The classic Vyper miniature was a beloved fixture for generations, but the new kit takes its design cues and weapon options and adds a modern twist that will seamlessly blend with your existing jetbike fleet.
There's even an alternate build option to create the Starfang, a custom Vyper variant from the Anhrathe Corsairs. This unique build comes with its own set of pilots, a diverse weapon loadout featuring weaponry from various Aeldari factions, and subtle decorative touches like filigree and ribbons.
You can choose from four canopy designs on the clear sprue, with two full canopies and two windscreens, each featuring either a blank display or the classic triangle rune. The weapons remain the same, but the loadout offers more flexibility, allowing you to mix and match the shuriken cannon and missile launcher in new ways to create dedicated armor-busting configurations.
The most striking visual change is the extra layer of armor protecting the gunner, a welcome upgrade that adds a new dimension to the vehicle's design. The upper turret can be rotated and locked into a lower position to fire on tailgaters, giving you the option to choose your preferred look when building your Vyper or Starfang.
